In 2020, entrepreneur Andy Wong was running a cozy coffee shop in Antipolo City with her business partner-slash-boyfriend Rods Escobar.
Unfortunately, like many other businesses, the brick-and-mortar was badly affected by the pandemic. "People [were] afraid to go out," Andy recalls. "They were not ordering, too, kasi takot sila na manggaling yung food from the outside."
In June 2020, the couple made the difficult decision to permanently close their café. But you know what they say, when one door closes, another one opens.
That same year, Andy—who used to work in the e-commerce industry—opened an online business called Andy Shop PH.
From serving coffee, the entrepreneur is now selling Marikina-made footwear for women like her who love shoes that are comfy and fuss-free.
