Do you secretly check your boyfriend or husband's phone to see if he's cheating on you? For Bea Alonzo, it's a big no-no.
The 33-year-old actress recently made a guest appearance on GMA-7's The Boobay and Tekla Show (TBATS), answering questions for its "Guilty and Not Guilty" segment. During which, she admitted that she is "guilty" of unfollowing and even blocking an unnamed ex-boyfriend on Instagram. But when asked if she's the type to check the phone of someone she's in a relationship with, Bea insisted she's "not guilty."
"Alam mo, totoo. Proud ako diyan. Never akong nag-check ng phone," the actress confirmed. "I respect one’s privacy. Parang feeling ko kasi, yung cellphone, parang toothbrush. Sa ‘yo lang."
Further, Bea added that a partner who's determined to cheat will always find a way to do so anyway.
"Parang binibigyan mo lang din lalo ng pasakit yung sarili mo. Kasi kahit ano pang gawin mo, kung magloloko, magloloko," she explains. “So, never. Never in my life."
Bea, who had a controversial breakup with Gerald Anderson in 2019, is now happily in a relationship with Dominique Roque. The couple confirmed their romance in August 2021. In an interview with GMA News, she said, "He's very caring. He really takes care of me, hindi nga ako sanay, e. Sobrang inaalagan niya ako because it's really his love language, service. So, talagang pag kumakain kami, talagang pinagsisilbihan ka. And then, the things na hindi ko iniisip na kailangan ko, biglang oorderin niya online para lang mas mapagaan ang buhay ko—all those things."
